SUMMARY:March to Abolish Animal Testing Kickoff Rally
DESCRIPTION:The kickoff rally will take place at West Capitol Park in Albany on Saturday\, September 12th at 9 am. We will hear from leaders in the animal rights movement\, legislators\, and actor Allison Pill. \nThe March to Abolish Animal Testing (MAAT) will take people on a 200-mile trek from the State Capitol in New York to the epicenter of dog experiments: Marshall BioResources\, a fortress where nearly 20\,000 beagles are trapped and awaiting abuse in cages. Marshall symbolizes an industry that cages and abuses animals for their entire lifetimes\, despite the fact that the data collected through this exploitation are overwhelmingly ineffectual. We are ready for change\, and we are marching for it.

SUMMARY:Run with Compassion 5k & BBQ
DESCRIPTION:CRVN’s annual BBQ just got an upgrade! It’s now the CRVN Run with Compassion 5k and BBQ and it will be on Sunday\, September 20th at 11:00 am in Tawasentha Park’s Chalet Pavilion. \nFor 5k registration\, click HERE \nFor BBQ tickets\, click HERE \nThe Capital Region Vegan Network empowers our community to adopt and maintain a vegan lifestyle through outreach\, education\, support\, and advocacy. The CRVN Run With Compassion 5K brings that mission to life by bringing our community together around compassion in action. CRVN proudly supports Song of the Robin\, Mini Mountain\, and Broome animal sanctuaries\, whose work gives animals the opportunity to live safely and free from exploitation. By participating in the 5K or making an additional donation\, you’re helping CRVN continue to give back to the sanctuaries doing this important work. Come run\, walk\, volunteer\, cheer\, or donate. Every form of participation helps us build a stronger and more compassionate community.
