In 2014, Nine Pin Cider Works opened in Albany as NY’s First Farm Cidery. Their mission is to support NY agriculture by producing craft ciders using 100% local NY apples and fruit.

While not all alcohol is vegan (some companies use animal products in the clarification process or honey/dairy), Nine Pin creates a delicious selection of all-vegan core and light ciders, as well as off-dry ciders and limited edition canned seasonal flavors (many of which are also vegan)!

Nine Pin is featuring a Cider Sangría for spring and they’re bringing it to VEG OUT! Keep reading to learn more about this seasonal beverage.

Locally sourced ingredients is at the forefront of Nine Pin’s cider making, and was key in the development of their spring seasonal beverage; Cider Sangría. This flavor is the ideal combination of two of New York’s greatest crops: apples and grapes.

Grapes are vital to New York’s agricultural output, with NY being the country’s third largest wine producer. This seasonal cider is crafted from NY apples, co-fermented with NY grape varietals (Traminette, Chancellor, and Concord), and then infused with a touch of orange citrus.

If you’re looking for a cool buzzy drink to sip on in this warmer weather, come try the Cider Sangría at VEG OUT before it’s gone for the season. It’s perfect for relaxing in the sun and paired with some delicious vegan eats – cheers!

Nine Pin will also be bringing lots of their classic drinks to VEG OUT, like their flagship product: the Signature Can. This alcoholic drink is naturally gluten free and made from a blend of apples from Samascott Orchards. It is an off dry sparkling cider with a crisp, bold, and refreshing taste. Or cool off with their Ginger Can; a spicy yet balanced cider created from a blend of dessert apples from Samascott Orchards and infused with ginger and orange peel.

You can still have Nine Pin Ciders after VEG OUT!

Enjoy some summer nights this year at their Tasting Room in Albany, which features 18 taps of local NY ciders, beers, & cocktails. They also offer a sparkling non-alcoholic cider; it’s sweet, crisp, and made with 100% juice from a variety of Samascott Orchard apple varieties. Pair your drink with a sourdough vegan harvest pizza, maduro and bean empanada from Lidia’s Empanadas (who’s also joining us at VEG OUT this year!), or a hummus & veggie plate. YUM!
