VEG OUT FAQs

  • Garage parking and street parking is free on the weekends in Troy. The 5th Ave Parking Garage will be the closest available parking garage on festival day. Our friends at the Troy Market made this great parking map of the area if you’d like more options/info, click to view on their Instagram or Facebook. VEG OUT is around the same area as the Troy Market (on Saturday’s).
  • There will be seating available throughout the area, as well as areas to set up your own chair!
  • There will also be seating available in the beer garden (must be 21+ with ID to enter) with Nine Pin serving up cider all day!
  • You are more than welcome to bring your own folding chair with you if you would like!  We just ask that you please set up away from the hustle and bustle near vendors.
  • No, we are committed to keeping VEG OUT free for the public to attend.  However, if you would like to support our efforts, we certainly welcome donations through our website and we also accept cash and check donations at in person events.  For VEG OUT we are even giving thank you gifts to our donors which can be found HERE.  Thank you for your generosity!
  • Why yes, thank you for asking!  As a mostly volunteer run not-for-profit organization, we have always relied heavily on our volunteers in order to run our festivals.  If you are interested in volunteering, please see our available positions HERE.  Did we mention, volunteers get a cool VEG OUT t-shirt?
  • Yes!  Please remember to bring utensils and maybe even to-go containers to bring some of the delicious food home in!  By bringing your own utensils, we can cut down on the amount of single use plastic waste heading to the landfill. Capital Region Vegan Network will have reusable stainless steel cups available for purchase.
  • You can also volunteer to help Capital District Zero Waste by being a Zero Waste Ambassador for the event.  In addition to garbage cans, we will also have recycling bins and compost bins on site with volunteers helping attendees to properly dispose of each item so we can keep as much out of the landfill as possible.
