She and her husband Punit are raising their two children vegan (Avi 5.5 years old and Anika 3 years old). She works as a research scientist and in her spare time enjoys trying out new recipes, arts and crafts and traveling.

Emilia
Emilia is an elementary school student, avid reader, and animal rights activist. She has been vegetarian since birth and transitioned to veganism a few years ago. Emilia is CRVN’s youngest dues-paying member. She has participated in protests and marches, served as a volunteer with CRVN, and run her own vegan Girl Scout cookie booth. Emilia loves opportunities to chat with community members about vegan food substitutes and making more compassionate choices.

Two and a half years ago, Stephanie transitioned to a fully vegan lifestyle and is now a strong advocate for whole food plant-based living, along with her husband Justin. Stephanie lives with Justin and their son Avery in Schenectady, where she enjoys gardening, cooking, running, and spending time in nature. Stephanie works for a local mental health agency, and is also a certified Reiki Master Teacher and practitioner. Stephanie is a member of the Capital Region Vegan Network Board of Directors, where she serves as Treasurer. Stephanie enjoys assisting others on their journey toward a healthier, more conscious life.
